ERC Synergy Grant for the investigation of ultracold quantum matter
The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded one of its newly-introduced Synergy Grants to the UQUAM (Ultracold Quantum Matter) project, which involves four research groups, one of which is led by Professor Immanuel Bloch (Chair of Quantum Optics at LMU Munich, and Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics, Garching). ERC Synergy Grants are intended to fund outstanding collaborations. For the funding period of six years the UQUAM project will receive 10 million Euro of support.
