Precise tailoring of light beams with DNA origami

Munich, March 15, 2012

An international team, led by LMU researchers, has used “molecular origami” to produce a novel class of materials capable of modulating the properties of light in predictable ways. Based on DNA-bound gold particles, these structures could lead to the construction of unconventional lens systems. more
