Physics Student Research Conference
PSRC 2018 – The Physics Conference of students for students
Scientific conferences are part of everyday life for physicists - physics students at the LMU tried how to present themselves and their own research topics at the Student Research Conference PSRC.
On June 9, 2018, the second student research conference PSRC took place at the Faculty of Physics. In 24 lectures, faculty students presented their research topics to the 70 participants of the conference. Three young female researchers impressed the critical public in particular: Nicola Kerschbaumer, Master's student at the chair of Professor Dr. Joachim Rädler, won the PSRC's Best Student Talk Award 2018 with her talk "Turning off genes with nanoparticles". With that narrowly put her fellow students Serena Giardino and Simone Ezendam with their talks on theoretical particle physics and experimental biophysics in second and third place.
