Student Research Projects
Lehre@Physik.LMU motivates students to plan and realize their own research projects. By doing so, the students will get a first glance at scientific work and they will start to develop essential abilities needed as a researcher like planing a research project, reporting about the results in a scientific article and presenting the results at conferences.
Once a research project is planned and accepted by a supervising staff member, students may apply for financial support. If granted, Lehre@Physik.LMU will pay up to 500 € for materials or literature needed for the project. In connection with their project the students may also apply for the "Visit a conference"-scholarship. Additionally the LMU awards prizes to the very best projects.
Finally, once a year students will get the chance to present their project and their results to fellow students and staff members at the Physical Students' Research Conferences (PSRC).
